Bio

John Caparulo began his stand-up career in the clubs of Cleveland and Pittsburgh in 1997. His sharp wit, unique delivery, and affinity for cuss words made him a crowd favorite right off the bat.

After graduating from Kent State University, he left behind a lucrative career patching potholes to take his talent to the left coast. There he spent the next four years working the door at the world famous Comedy Store and cutting grass at a local golf course.

Cap’s first big break came at the 2003 “Just For Laughs” Festival in Montreal, where he impressed the industry observers enough to offer him a deal. It was then he was able to trade in his weed whacker for a microphone full-time. He then applied his blue collar work ethic to the stage, where he now performs nearly 365 nights a year.

He has appeared twice on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” featured in a half-hour “Comedy Central Presents” and was recently part of “Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation.” The one-hour special aired on TBS.

John was also one of four comedians featured in Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights – Hollywood To The Heartland, which was released by New Line in 2008. The comedy documentary follows Vaughn and four stand-up comics as they tour the country.

He recently hosted the CMT series “Mobile Home Disaster” and is a regular on E! Television’s hit show “Chelsea Lately.”

In 2009, John will relinquish his no-holds barred and hilarious take on everyday occurrences in his first CD and DVD titled, Meet Cap on Warner Bros. Records. The CD will be released on Feb. 10, 2009 and DVD will follow a little over one month later on April 17, 2009. Meet Cap originally aired on Comedy Central Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008.

The future has never looked brighter for this talented, young comedian.
