Ashley Monroe's Critically-Acclaimed Album Like A Rose Released To Vinyl This Week

Ashley Monroe’s critically-acclaimed solo debut album, Like A Rose, which debuted Top-10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, was released this week to vinyl and is available for purchase here as part of a special bundle in celebration of Record Store Day on April 20th (bundle details below). Fans visiting AshleyMonroe.com on April 20th will get a free download of “Weed Instead of Roses” and the special 4/20 bundle is available for free shipping through April 30th. Monroe is also set to release five exclusive acoustic video versions of her songs that were recorded using a special 1940’s reel-to-reel analog tape recorder, capturing her music to a medium that allows Monroe to better communicate with her listeners in the current moment, note and lyric. The first two tracks, “Weed Instead of Roses” and “Like A Rose,” were featured this week on both Rolling Stone here and The Washington Post here.

According to The Washington Post, Monroe says, “One of my favorite things to do is sit around and listen to old records…it’s so cool digging through the bins trying to find them. I get giddy about records.”

The critically-acclaimed Like A Rose, produced by 20-time GRAMMY award-winner Vince Gill and Justin Niebank, features songs she co-wrote with the legendary Hall of Fame songwriter Guy Clark as well as many of Nashville's A-list songwriters. Monroe has been creating music for more than half of her life – attracting along the way kudos from music world giants like Dolly Parton and Jack White. Her new, full-length album release serves both to fill in the back-story and impart to us who she is today. At times her songs are dead serious, at others utterly hilarious, but always Monroe is an original with a compelling story to share.
