Big & Rich are Lost In This Moment With Their First #1 Single

Top country duo Big & Rich tops both the Mediabase and R&R charts this week with the first #1 hit of their career, “Lost In This Moment.” The lead single from Big & Rich’s #1 album, Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace, “Lost In This Moment” is also the duo’s fastest-rising hit ever. “What an incredible honor,” John Rich stated. “To write and record a song that resonates with fans in such a special way is an amazing feeling. Thank you to all the fans who reacted to this song, and to country radio for the continued support they have given me and Kenny.” Big Kenny added, “Thank you country radio, thank you fans, thank you everybody! Your support of this song and our music just proves that our dream of ‘Music Without Prejudice’ is real, and it is possible.”

Penned years ago by John Rich, Rodney Clawson, and Keith Anderson, the song perfectly showcases the depth of songwriting Big & Rich have embraced for their third studio album. “It’s been sitting around in a catalog for four, five, six years now,” John Rich tells CMT Radio. “Just didn’t seem like, early on, something we would sound good doing. But we listened to it on the bus and I said I always thought this was a pretty good song. And Kenny said, ‘I’ve always loved that song.’ So, we said let’s cut it and see how it turns out. And it turned out really great.” Since the release of Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace on June 5, the album has met with both commercial success (it debuted at #1 on SoundScan’s Current Country Albums chart) and critical acclaim. Billboard’s Ken Tucker calls it “An amazing collection of wildly divergent songs...It’s the sort of audacious melding of genres with which Big & Rich first hit Nashville and country radio—like a ton of bricks in an understatement.”
