BLAKE SHELTON NAMED NEWEST MEMBER OF THE GRAND OLE OPRY

The CMA Award Nominee for Male Vocalist of the Year celebrates the grand event with family and friends

Nashville, TN – (October 25, 2010) – On Saturday, October 23rd, four-time CMA Award Nominee Blake Shelton received an invitation of a lifetime as he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Blake joins the prestigious organization as their newest member, receiving his official induction by longtime friend, Trace Adkins.

Blake’s family and close friends were on-site to celebrate the momentous occasion for the country star. John Esposito, President & CEO of Warner Music Nashville, presented Blake with a congratulatory gift from his label family – a piece of the original Grand Ole Opry curtain and “B” & “S” armrests from the original Grand Ole Opry pews.
