Blake Shelton Sells Out Third Weekend Straight Of "Ten Times Crazier" Tour

With almost 200,000 tickets sold in only nine dates, Blake Shelton’s “Ten Times Crazier” tour is living up to its name. While standing on the stage after sound check in Chicago, Blake looked up and pointed to the very back where the pavilion sits and recalled “When I opened for George Strait, I remember going up there and watching him perform. I’m excited to be performing in front of 27,000 people tonight but I’m not gonna lie – I’m a little nervous.”

But his nerves didn’t show as he performed many of his No. 1 hit singles along with some fan favorites from his past. Critics raved this weekend that “…after 13 plus years in the game, Shelton's winning streak continues,” (Claudia Perry, Chicago Tribune), that he can keep “a sold-out crowd of more than 20,000 on their collective feet for two solid hours,” (Chuck Yarbrough, Cleveland Plain Dealer) and called it “…a show that celebrated the new and the old, talked about the happy and the sad, and allowed country music to shine for yet another summer night in Pittsburgh,” (Claire Aronson, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette). Blake was also praised for his performance at Chicago’s First Midwest Bank Amphitheater for “His elaborate stage production, breathtaking light design, and cast of immensely talented musicians [that] brought the entire show to perfection,” (Christian Scalise, Country Stars Central).

Blake Shelton is CMA Awards’ reigning Entertainer of the Year and three-peat Male Vocalist of the Year. With nine consecutive No. 1 singles (fourteen overall) Blake is one of the "most versatile of contemporary country singers" (The New York Times). His infectious multi-week No.1 hit, “Honey Bee" still holds the record for the fastest-selling digital Platinum single for a male country solo artist and just off the heels of his No. 1 smash hit “Boys ‘Round Here,” the follow up single “Mine Would Be You” is impacting radio now. “To A Purist Mr. Shelton is a savvy student of tradition. To A Would-be outlaw he’s forever adding a wink. He’s a star who is only as explicit as you want him to be,” Jon Caramanica, The New York Times. Blake Shelton’s passion for country music and his commitment to mentoring his teammates from The Voice make him an incredible ambassador for country music. July 19 in Virginia Beach, VA, Blake kicked off his “Ten Times Crazier Tour.” For additional dates please visit: www.BlakeShelton.com/shows
