Mark Your Calendars: Dodds to Join Chase Rice on AM / PM Tour This Fall

Warner Music Nashville artist Cale Dodds likes where this is going – straight to country radio. The rising singer / songwriter and noted entertainer hits the airwaves today with his brand new single “I Like Where This Is Going” (listen HERE). And as All Access says: “Cale Dodds is radio ready.”

The “young romance set to music” has already earned more than two million streams before receiving any airplay, andMusicRow has described it as “warm sounding, with plenty of verve and enthusiasm.” Sounds Like Nashville likewise praised the track, calling it a “smooth standout [that] features a modern blend of pop-country sonics and a thick layer of Dodds’ boy-next-door charm.” Dodds penned the tune alongside producer busbee and award-winning songwriter Nicolle Galyon. In addition to the “I Like Where This Is Going” visualizer that features some of the highlights of his young career (watch HERE), he has released a first teaser for the official video (watch HERE).

Said Michael Levine of KKGO/Los Angeles, “Cale Dodds is a talented artist whose music touches the current direction for country music. His new single ‘I Like Where This Is Going’ should be a perfect fit for any station.”

Named by Pandora and Sounds Like Nashville an artist to watch in 2019, Dodds recently introduced audiences to “I Like Where This Is Going” on Chase Rice’s Eyes on You Tour. This morning Rice announced his AM / PM Tour, which will feature the up-and-coming entertainer on dates including Los Angeles (8/13), Nashville (9/27) and Chicago (9/28). See below for full list of shows.

Dodds also hit Nashville during this year’s CMA Fest, performing at the Chevy Breakout Stage and his own fan party. Golfer and media personality Chelsea Pezzola introduced his set at the latter, where he gave the crowd a first taste of the upcoming music video alongside its lead actor. The artist has no plans to slow down this summer – he was recently selected as July’s USO Artist of the Month for Fort Campbell. Dodds will spend time engaging with service members in addition to a special performance at the end of the month.

The Columbus, GA native has offered fans several tastes of his rock and pop country blend over the past few years in the form of digital singles. He scored his first viral hits with songs like “Lying,” “All Over” and “People Watching” before and after being signed to his first major label deal. In late 2018 he released “What We Gonna Do About It,” an upbeat party-starter that he co-wrote with producer Corey Crowder and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, followed by his song “Where I Get It From” to close out the year. Touted by Rolling Stone for his “smooth pop-country crooning over arena ready arrangements distinguished by clever lyricism,” Dodds faces the future with a “powerful stage presence, good looks and self-deprecating sense of humor…  already proving to have that ‘it’ factor necessary to take this thing to the moon” (Whiskey Riff).
