Warner Music Nashville’s rising artist Redferrin is raising a glass today to celebrate the release of his debut EP Old No. 7 (LISTEN HERE). Inspired by the famous whiskey, the EP packs a punch you can’t ignore. All seven songs were co-written and co-produced by Redferrin himself – an important ingredient to the full-bodied project. The White House, Tennessee native was able to kick off the release in a big way last night with a SOLD-OUT show at Exit/In, his very first headlining hometown show.

“It’s a pretty cool pairing and a really cool vibe, and it feels like all seven songs are really me,” said Redferrin. “I’m talking about White House, Tennessee, and I’m talking about my favorite whiskey. It’s real stories about real heartbreaks. I poured my heart into this music. Honestly can’t believe it’s all happening; this is a dream come true. A sold-out hometown show the night before I drop my first project. Definitely a week I will never forget.”

Old No. 7 opens with “Jack and Diet Coke,” the initial inspiration of the EP’s overall theme. Redferrin’s biggest song yet, it charted on Spotify’s Viral 50 (US) and has surpassed 30 million global streams. “Lose Her For Nothin’,” a moody, thoughtful vocal number, was actually inspired by Redferrin’s late mother – a daily reminder to keep his promises. Check out the official music video, released today, HERE. The dedications continue with “She’s Like Whiskey,” inspired by his dog Mellow. “We spent our final days with her in an airstream at the distillery and I wrote this song about the fun we had the last month of her life, and the hurt I knew was on the way,” described Redferrin. The singer-songwriter leaned into his rock roots on tracks “Just Like Johnny” and “Champagne In The Morning.” The collection also features previously released tracks “Miss Summer” and “Doin’ Life,” the latter of which is Redferrin’s most personal song to date.

The 2024 Amazon Breakthrough Artist To Watch is originally known as a collaborator, co-writing tracks for Florida Georgia Line such as “Lil Bit” (featuring Nelly), “New Truck,” “Countryside” and more, plus a record-breaking Canadian #1, “Can’t Help Myself” by Dean Brody & The Reklaws. His artistic career is now in a lane all on its own, having already racked up over 60 million global streams. No longer sending his best songs away, Redferrin is all-in on his artistic vision. The man behind the scenes is now stepping into the spotlight and it’s about time.

“For a long time I’ve been writing for reactions,” he explains. “I wanted my publisher to say ‘good song,’ or I hoped an artist would cut the song. But once I didn’t have anybody to turn a song into anymore, I was just writing for myself and the songs got a lot better.”

Born Blake Redferrin, the rising star is bursting onto the scene as one of Nashville’s most unique and innovative new artists. Living just 30 miles north of Music City, he spent his first 24 years on the pegs of a dirt bike, chasing high-speed dreams with the throttle pinned and no kill switch. He earned a professional ride by the time he was 18 and joined the national Arenacross circuit. But crashes and injuries are a constant companion in racing, and they eventually catch up with everyone, so he began exploring the idea of changing direction. The singer-songwriter is currently on the road with Niko Moon on tour and will join Billy Currington in the spring in addition to several festivals and a trip overseas to C2C.
