“On My Way To You” Nears Top 20 at Country Radio

First-Ever Ryman Auditorium Show Already Sold Out Four Months In Advance

After a beautifully moving stripped down performance on TODAY (WATCH HERE) of its lead single “On My Way To You,” Cody Johnson’s first major label album Ain’t Nothin’ To It aims to debut at the top spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart. Described as a “contemplative ballad…with a spare but spacious sound that evokes the wide-open expanses of the Lone Star State” by Rolling Stone, “On My Way To You” is rapidly approaching Top 20 at country radio having already reached over 30 million streams and selling nearly 300,000 track equivalents.

With Pandora predicting that the album is “sure to swell the ranks of his CoJo Nation fan base, with plenty of his own material and personality,” Ain’t Nothin’ To It was the third-highest pre-added album of all time in the country music genre on Apple Music. Rolling Stone praises the way Johnson “transitions easily into the heart of the Nashville machine on his new album” with Taste of Country boldly declaring “you're not likely to find a more consistent album in 2019.”

Prior to his CoJo Music / Warner Music Nashville partnership, Johnson made history as the first independent artist to sell out Rodeo Houston. Having sold over 75,000 tickets and over $250,000 in merchandise, he will be headlining the stadium for a third time on March 15. The Texas native has also already completely sold out his very first Ryman Auditorium headlining show; four months in advance of the May 4th date (see a full list of tour dates below).

Johnson entered 2019 with his name on several Artist to Watch lists including The Tennessean’s Nashville’s Next Stars, MusicRow’s 2019 Next Big Thing, iHeartRadio’s Artists to Watch in 2019, and Pandora’s Artist to Watch 2019 playlist. YouTube also selected “On My Way To You” for their Artist on the Rise trending program with the music video quickly approaching 3 million views.
