Platinum-selling hitmaker Cody Johnson proves he can as he lands the first #1 radio single of his career this week with the meteoric rise of “’Til You Can’t” taking the top spot on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Country Aircheck charts. To date the song has logged over 200 million global streams since its release. In another first, Johnson will make his debut appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 8 to perform the single.

The RIAA certified, gold-selling “’Til You Can’t,” written by Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers, is the debut single from Johnson’s Human The Double Album. The song also reached the #1 position on Billboard’s airplay, streaming and sales-based ‘Hot Country Songs’ chart in February as well as #1 spots on SiriusXM’s HOT 30 Weekend, the MusicRow CountryBreakout chart and Shazam’s Country Chart. Watch/listen to fans react to it in concert HERE and see the official music video HERE.

The #1 success follows a remarkable week for Johnson that included three sold-out concerts, the reveal he will join the Zac Brown Band for two stadium shows this summer on July 15 & August 18 on their “Out In The Middle Tour,” the announcement of his participation in a Merle Haggard tribute show at the Grand Ole Opry on April 6, and his first-ever CMT Music Awards (Monday, April 11 on CBS) nominations in three categories- Video of the Year (“’Til You Can’t”), Male Video of The Year (“’Til You Can’t”), and CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year for “Dear Rodeo” from CMT Campfire Sessions. “To be nominated for a CMT award is an honor by itself, but to be nominated for THREE is an incredible honor!,” shared Johnson. “I’m so proud of everyone involved in these incredible songs that gave me the opportunity to be nominated. Let’s keep country music alive y’all!”

Johnson’s 2022 tour continues its successful route across the U.S. this coming weekend with shows in Brandon, Mississippi, Tuscaloosa and Orange Beach, Alabama. After his sold-out show at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis Post the Post-Dispatch touted, Johnson ‘made a case for country show of the year… pouring his strong voice into songs.’ Tickets for the tour may be purchased at codyjohnsonmusic.com.

The tour announcement with Zac Brown Band comes on the heels of Johnson’s Rodeo Houston performance where he became the third performer ever to sell out opening night following records set in previous years by Garth Brooks (2018) and George Strait (2017). With a crowd of 70,554 cheering fans, Johnson launched the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s ™ 90th anniversary season after a forced hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the global pandemic. It was his fourth Rodeo performance.

On April 6, Johnson will participate in the “Opry Salutes Merle Haggard” show which will be filmed to air as a Saturday night Opry Live later this spring on the Opry’s television broadcast home, Circle Network, Circle All Access Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
