COMEDIAN PATTON OSWALT DECLARES MY WEAKNESS IS STRONG WITH NEW CD/DVD RELEASE

Nashville, TN – Comedian Patton Oswalt reveals that his “weakness is strong” with the CD/DVD release My Weakness Is Strong on Tuesday, Aug. 25 on Degenerate/Warner Bros. Records. The World Television Premiere of “Patton Oswalt: My Weakness is Strong” debuts on Comedy Central this Sunday, Aug. 23 at 10:00 PM EST/PST, 9:00 PM CST. Encore presentations are scheduled to air Monday, August 24 at 12:30 a.m. and Tuesday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m. In support of the special, Oswalt performs on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Friday, Aug. 21. Starting Tuesday, Aug. 18, iTunes received a one-week digital audio exclusive and it is currently sitting at #3 on iTunes’ overall Top Albums chart.

Oswalt continues to prove his “strength” this month on the big screen in the lead role in Big Fan, his dramatic debut as an obsessed New York Giants fan, from writer/director Robert Siegel (The Wrestler). Big Fan premieres in New York and Philadelphia on Friday, Aug. 28, and in Los Angeles and the rest of the country on Friday, Sept. 11. The film received rave reviews at its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2009.

In addition, Patton is this week’s featured comedian on MySpace and has an exclusive video on funnyordie.com. Fans can watch exclusive clips of the upcoming special on Comedy Central’s Jokes.com, plus participate in fun promotions and giveaways on comedy.com, thelaughbutton.com and more.

Currently a series regular on Showtime’s “United States of Tara,” he has also appeared as a guest star on “The Sarah Silverman Program” on Comedy Central and on “Flight of the Conchords” on HBO. He’s a regular contributor to “Countdown with Keith Olbermann,” “Real Time with Bill Maher” and “Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil.” Patton will also appear in Steven Soderbergh’s feature film The Informant, and recently appeared in Observe and Report with Seth Rogen.

Patton provided the voice for Remy, the rat, in Pixar’s Oscar winning Ratatouille. He’s also appeared in more then 20 films, including Magnolia, Starsky and Hutch and Reno 911!: Miami.
