NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (March 1, 2018) – Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville breakout star Devin Dawson is adding more milestones to an already wildly successful 2018. Following a stellar performance of his Top 5 debut single, “All On Me” for NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (2/28), it was just announced this morning that the acclaimed singer/songwriter has received his first ACM nod as a 2018 New Male Artist nominee.

“Honestly, I woke up early this morning to watch the ACM news hoping to see all my friends getting nominations,” Dawson shared. “I never thought that I would be seeing my own name up there for new male! It’s an honor to be included in this category alongside such insane talent. This is a monumental moment not only for me, but also my family, my entire team and my incredible fans. My first ever award nomination. I’ll never forget this one. Thank you ACM for taking a shot on a Dark Horse like me. See y’all in Vegas!”

With more than 76.5 million streams to date, “All On Me” – featured on his debut album Dark Horse – catapulted the Nor-Cal native into the spotlight with People including him as the only male recording artist on their “Ones to Watch List” and Entertainment Weekly highlighting him as the only country artist on their “8 Artists Who Will Rule 2018” list. This Friday (3/2), he will also once again take the Grand Ole Opry stage before joining an all-star musical lineup on Saturday (3/3) to help pay tribute to music icon Johnny Cash. Dawson, alongside Cash’s son, John Carter Cash and wife Ana Cristina Cash, Sheryl Crow, Ronnie Dunn, Jamey Johnson and Bill Mille will perform for the 2018 Ballet Ball at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. All proceeds will go towards educational dance programs for youth and families in Middle Tennessee.

“Dawson sets himself up as the complete package in ‘All on Me’” according to Rolling Stone and will bring his full record to life on the road this spring as he heads out on tour with Brett Eldredge. His recently added headline dates continue to near capacity with Nashville’s March 29 show selling out in less than 24 hours, solidifying why outlets like Huffington PostAXSBillboard and more have dubbed him an “Artist to Watch.”

About Devin Dawson

An atypical country artist, Devin Dawson’s approach to music is not different on purpose, it’s different with purpose. He grew up just outside the gates of Folsom Prison, drawing inspiration from Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Pulling from these influences, he began to write in a style that is definitively country. Dawson’s lyrics, full of romance and vulnerability and delivered with a distinctive saw-toothed vocal, draw you in from the first verse and keep you hooked until the very last chord. Since the release of his debut single “All On Me,” the California-native has performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and TODAY, earning critical praise from a multitude of outlets including People, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Huffington Post, ELLE, Billboard, Stereogum, American Songwriter and more. His unique mix of organic roots and high-voltage country is showcased masterfully on his debut Dark Horse, produced by the daring Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne). With a co-write credit on every track, the result will further establish Dawson’s building reputation as a dark horse set to emerge as one of the most exciting modern storytellers the format has ever seen.
