Nashville, TN – (May 24, 2011) – Releasing their debut album is a once in a lifetime event for any artist and Warner Bros. Records’ guitar slinger, Frankie Ballard wanted to make his as memorable as possible. Ballard, whose album is available everywhere beginning today, May 24, is giving his self-titled debut a proper kick-off and what better way than with a week-long celebration in his home state of Michigan. To get the party underway early, Ballard opened for Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer, Bob Seger in Detroit on Saturday, May 21. The week continued with Ballard performing a free show at Coyote Joe’s in Detroit last night. Next, he will head to his hometown of Battle Creek for an in-store signing at Walmart beginning at 1:00 PM (EST) today, May 24 followed by an all out rockin’ CD release party at 8:30 PM (EST) at The Intersection in Grand Rapids. Produced by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean), Frankie Ballard features Ballard’s hit singles, “A Buncha Girls” and “Tell Me You Get Lonely.”
"This day has been a long time coming for me,” said Ballard. “And one of the things that I most excited about having my music out there is hearing what fans think. What songs they like and what moves them. The album is just as much theirs as it is mine!”
Few debut artists can compare to Ballard’s impetuous breakthrough in the music scene as country’s guitar slinging heartthrob. In just one year, Ballard has already scored a Top Five video hit with his debut single “Tell Me You Get Lonely,” toured with rock star Uncle Kracker, starred in his own GAC web series, wrote a song on Billy Currington’s new CD, issued “A Buncha Girls” as his second radio single and staged his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. And if that wasn’t enough, Ballard just wrapped a 13 show run opening for Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer, Bob Seger and will open for superstar Taylor Swift on her upcoming North American leg of the “SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR 2011.” Hailing from Battle Creek, Michigan, Ballard brings a fresh new sound with his unique blend of edgy, country rock and sheer, fleet-fingered guitar skills.
