GLORIANA UP FOR T-MOBILE BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST AWARD AT THE 2009 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

Nashville, TN — Top new country group Gloriana has been voted into the final round for the T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2009 American Music Awards (AMAs), set to air live from the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 22nd (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC. Gloriana is now up for the prestigious award alongside Lady GaGa, Keri Hilson, and Kid Cudi. This is the only award on the AMAs where fans can text in their votes and continue to vote during the show by going to http://abc.go.com/shows/american-music-awards/breakthrough. The T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award will be revealed during the live telecast of the special.

“We are so thankful and so honored for this nomination,” said Cheyenne Kimball. “It’s really a dream come true for all four of us, especially since this was a fan voted nomination, not to mention being nominated among such amazing artists,” added Mike Gossin.

Nominees were selected from data supplied by The Nielsen Company's Broadcast Data Systems, which monitors radio airplay performance, and Soundscan, which tracks retail music sales. Fans voted last week for the Country Breakout Artist and Gloriana won. Gloriana’s debut single “Wild At Heart” is the best selling single by a new country artist in 2009 having sold over 350,000 copies to date. Their self-titled album, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Country Album Chart and #3 on Billboard's Top 200, has already sold well over 100,000 copies since its release.

Gloriana recently released their second single “How Far Do You Wanna Go?” to radio and after only five weeks has landed in the Top 30 on the Music Row chart. The video¸ which captures the foursome’s energy and big sound that have made Gloriana one of the best new artists in country music this year, premiered on CMT last week. Starting this week fans can purchase the video on iTunes.
