NASHVILLE, TN – (August 10, 2011) – Multi-talented musician, writer, producer and performer Hunter Hayes makes his Grand Ole Opry debut on the renowned stage this Friday, August 12. Hunter, who is currently on tour with superstar Taylor Swift on her “SPEAK NOW World Tour 2011,” will perform his debut single “Storm Warning” already in the Top 40 on the charts. Hunter joins Diamond Rio, Andy Griggs and Carter’s Chord in the line-up for Friday’s show.
“Being invited to play the Grand Ole Opry is like having the doors in country music open for you. Just the invitation to perform on the Opry feels like initiation into a family of artists I have looked up to and have studied my entire life,” says Hunter. “The cherry on top is that I get to play the same night as Diamond Rio!”
Hunter Hayes, the Louisiana raised multi-instrumentalist (acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, electric guitar, ganjo, mandolin, keys and more) already carries with him an impressive resume that many would only dream of achieving in a lifetime. His debut single, “Storm Warning,” is climbing the charts and is off his forthcoming Atlantic Records release in which he wrote or co-wrote every song, co-produced with veteran producer, Dann Huff and played every instrument.
