James Otto’s Big Voice Lands Him Big Sales For His Debut Album on Warner Bros. Records

“The biggest voice in country music,” James Otto, scored big numbers for his debut album on Warner Bros. Records, Sunset Man, today. Otto sold 57,585 units, making him No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. This is Otto’s first album of his career to hit in the Top 5 on the charts.

Otto’s first single off of the album, “Just Got Started Lovin’ You” is No. 3 on both R&R and Mediabase charts. The single, has sold over 120,000 downloads on iTunes to date. The single also had over 290,000 downloads/shares overall, making it No. 2 on Big Champagne’s country chart. The video for “Just Got Started Lovin’ You” is No. 5 on CMT’s “Top 20 Countdown” and the No. 1 “most played video of the week” on GAC.

USA Today gave Sunset Man 3 stars saying, “While the burly former sailor can pull off that sort of hillbilly stomp, he’s much more of a soul man, the kind country music has lacked since the days of Ronnie Milsap.” Billboard Magazine says, “James Otto’s second album proves that some things are indeed worth the wait. His brand of ‘country soul,’ as he calls it, comes across strong and confident on this new set.”
