Singer To Bring His Country Soul To The National Anthem

At The Packers vs. Vikings Game

Nashville, TN / October 22, 2010 – Warner Bros. Records and GRAMMY nominated recording artist James Otto is ready for some Sunday night football this weekend and will be bringing his unique country soul sound to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI on October 24 for the highly anticipated match-up between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. Otto will perform the National Anthem right before the game kicks off.

When asked which team he is rooting for, Otto said, “I’m a Vikings fan all the way! I grew up watching the Vikings and my loyalty always has and always will be there.”

Currently Otto is on the road playing shows all across the country in support of his new album, Shake What God Gave Ya, released earlier this fall. His latest single “Soldiers & Jesus” recently debuted on the country single charts and is still climbing.

James Otto is 100 percent country, but he’s also got a heart full of soul. And his signature soulful sound broke through with his smash hit, “Just Got Started Loving You”—which was declared the No. 1 country single of 2008 by Billboard. This track is from his album, Sunset Man, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, scored three singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and remained in the Top 5 Country Albums chart for six weeks after its release in April 2008. Last year, Otto won an ACM and CMA Award in the Song of the Year category as a co-writer for “In Color” (a track that also earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song).
