Nashville, TN – (December 20th, 2010) – The Christmas season can be a little stressful for many and late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon along with country superstar John Rich have mixed up the perfect holiday antidote to dysfunctional family gatherings with their hilarious Christmas duet, “Drunk on Christmas.” After an overwhelming response from John Rich’s surprise guest appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last week their classically inappropriate holiday duet will be available exclusively on iTunes worldwide beginning Tuesday, December 21st.

Written by Gerard Bradford and Jimmy Fallon, “Drunk on Christmas” is the ultimate holiday tune full of yuletide spirited references and of course, the ultimate remedy to get through the season with the catchy sing-along line, “gonna get drunk, drunk, drunk on Christmas.” John Rich made a surprise visit last Thursday, decked out in a red velvet Santa costume and gold cowboy boots, to help his friend Jimmy Fallon shed some Christmas cheer with the upbeat song. John Rich is one of Country music’s top producer/songwriter/artists, boasting hit singles and awards including a GRAMMY nomination as one-half of the multi-platinum duo, Big and Rich. His last album, Son Of A Preacher Man, featured the hit single, “Shuttin’ Detroit Down,” which was Rich’s first solo hit to land in the Top 15 on the Country Singles Chart and the fastest-rising single of his career. Rich is the only country music artist who has garnered a Top 15 single as a part of a group, duo and solo artist. Rich is a three-time ASCAP Songwriter of the Year recipient with 13 top ten hits, including Faith Hill’s “Mississippi Girl,” Faith and Tim McGraw’s “Like We Never Loved At All,” Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman” and Jason Aldean’s “Hicktown.” As a part of Big & Rich and as a songwriter, he has garnered multiple GRAMMY, ACM, CMA and CMT Music Award nominations.
