The Right To Bare Arms, the latest solo comedy album from Jack Records/Warner Bros. Records recording artist Larry the Cable Guy, has been certified gold by the RIAA in recognition of 500,000 units sold. The Right To Bare Arms was released on March 29th, a mere eight weeks ago, and has been a smash hit from the start! It debuted at #1 on both the SoundScan Current Country and Comedy charts and was the first comedy release to debut in the Top 10 of the Top 200 Albums chart. The Right To Bare Arms marks the first newly recorded artist release on Jack Records, WB's new comedy imprint. The album was recorded live in Houston, TX, on "The Right To Bare Arms Tour" and follows Larry's holiday album, A Very Larry Christmas, and his debut album, Lord, I Apologize, which has also been RIAA certified gold. Larry has been part of the hugely successful "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White that spawned the feature film Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie. The follow-up, Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again, was released on DVD in December. Its premiere broke Comedy Central's record for highest viewed movie with 6.2 million viewers. Larry's many television credits include his recent appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and his starring role on the WB Network's Blue Collar TV. Larry will also be the voice of one of the animated characters in the upcoming feature film Cars from Disney/Pixar. His DVD, Git-R-Done, has sold more than 1 million copies! In addition to all of this, combined album sales in excess of 1.5 million units and his participation in one of the most successful comedy tours in history have secured Larry the Cable Guy's place among the most successful comedians in America.
