TRACK ENTERS 18TH CONSECUTIVE WEEK AT #1 ON TMN COUNTRY AIRPLAY CHART

“DAY DRUNK” CONTINUES TO CLIMB U.S. COUNTRY CHARTS

Warner Music Nashville / Warner Bros. Records rising star MORGAN EVANS continues to break big in his home country, topping Australia’s pop radio chart this week with “Day Drunk.” The track climbed to #1 on the all-genre TMN Hot 100 airplay chart, after spending an astonishing 18 consecutive weeks at #1 on the TMN Country Airplay chart.

Already certified GOLD in Oz, “Day Drunk” is Evans’ first single to hit #1 on Australia’s Top 40 Radio. The singer-songwriter marks the first Country artist to achieve this feat since Taylor Swift hit #1 with “Love Story” in 2009. He is one of four Australian acts to top the chart in 2018.

Further proving its “slam-dunk” (Rolling Stone) status, “Day Drunk” continues its chart ascent in the U.S., closing in on Country radio’s Top 40.  Noted by Billboard as "a carefree track that engenders plenty of audience engagement when Evans works the concert stage,” the party-ready break from reality has been praised as “bright as sunshine” (MusicRow).

“Day Drunk” is the new single from Evans’ debut U.S. album THINGS THAT WE DRINK TO and follow-up to his #1 hit “Kiss Somebody.” THINGS THAT WE DRINK TO landed in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart upon its release and has surpassed 120,000 album equivalents. The project features 11 tracks co-penned by Evans alongside the album’s producer Chris DeStefano.

Claiming a place on PEOPLE’s elite “Ones To Watch” 2018 as well as emerging artist lists compiled by Bobby Bones, Billboard, SiriusXM, CMT, The Tennessean and Amazon Music among others, Evans continues to shine in his breakout year. With more excitement on the horizon for 2019, he is set to join Old Dominion on the MAKE IT SWEET TOUR before hitting the road on the first leg of DAN + SHAY THE TOUR.

This past weekend (11/17), Evans took the stage at Bayou Stock festival in Monroe, LA. He is set to round out the year on Chris Young’s LOSING SLEEP WORLD TOUR with upcoming shows in Knoxville, TN (11/29), Greenville, SC (11/30), and Raleigh, NC (12/1).
