Get that old jukebox working hard! Hit-making recording artist, songwriter and producer Shy Carter is raising a bottle with Cole Swindell and David Lee Murphy in brand new, summer-ready anthem “Beer With My Friends” (listen HERE). Carter co-wrote the party-starting song alongside Murphy and Bryan Simpson.

“My hope is that ‘Beer With My Friends’ becomes the go-to anthem for all of the beautiful people out there who want to have a blast enjoying life with their friends and families!” Carter shared. “It was a dream come true to collaborate with two of my favorite party-starters, Cole Swindell and David Lee Murphy. I’m a huge fan of them both, and I’m so honored that they would sing this crazy, energetic, amazing song with me. We had so much fun putting it all together – and there’s a whole lot more fun coming with this one! The party never stops when ‘Beer With My Friends’ is playing. Wooooo!!”

Carter will keep the party going next weekend as both a performer and the emcee at Country Jam festival in Grand Junction, CO. Catch him on stage at major festivals, including Lollapalooza, throughout the summer. This fall he will join Tyler Rich on his Two Thousand Miles Tour for 16 shows across the West Coast, including a stop in Los Angeles at the world-famous Troubadour (check out tour dates and more HERE).

The born entertainer, known already for his ever-present smile and good-time attitude, introduced himself as a soulful country artist with the “broad, breezy optimism” (NPR) of “Good Love.” The first half of the year provided Carter with opportunities to share the uplifting tune on national platforms. He made his debut on NBC News’ 3rd Hour of TODAY (watch HERE), and the song was also featured in the Hallmark Channel’s “Spring Fling” movie event trailer.

Carter continues to live by the doctrine of “Good Love” in his everyday life. He serves as an ambassador to Nashville-based nonprofit Thistle Farms, a social enterprise dedicated to helping female survivors recover and heal from prostitution, trafficking and addiction. Watch as he learns from and champions the women of Thistle Farms in the latest episode of his video series HERE.

ABOUT SHY CARTER

Songwriter, artist and producer Shy Carter has reached all corners of the industry with his early success. With credits that span Kane Brown’s “Heaven” to Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away,” Carter is one of the most formidable up-and-coming talents in Nashville and beyond. He is among the writers behind Billy Currington's “It Don't Hurt Like it Used To,” Sugarland’s smash hit “Stuck Like Glue” and Rob Thomas’ single “Someday.” In addition to his feature on Tim McGraw’s “Way Down,” Carter has collaborated with Keith Urban on both “Never Comin’ Down” and “My Wave.” Named to Variety’s 2018 Hitmakers list, he has also worked with Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainor, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Lopez, Nelly and more. His roots in gospel, jazz, R&B and soul developed into an early career in hip-hop, but his gift for storytelling and love of organic instrumentation led to a natural transition into country music. Now, with a transcendent style perfectly suited to the times, he’s ready to stand on his own as a country artist. With its earthy groove, laid-back beat and unflagging spirit, Carter’s “Good Love” served as a fitting introduction to the man behind the music and was featured in the Hallmark Channel’s “Spring Fling” movie trailer. The born entertainer made his TODAY debut this spring and has been named a 2021 Artist to Watch by Amazon Music, MusicRow magazine, Pandora, Sounds Like Nashville and more. Now it’s time to grab a cold one and turn up Carter’s rocking country anthem “Beer With My Friends” feat. Cole Swindell and David Lee Murphy. Cheers!
