St. Jude Features Sandra Boynton's "Beautiful Baby" In Year-End Message

    NASHVILLE, TN – (December 17, 2013) – Sandra Boynton’s “Beautiful Baby,” as sung by Darius Rucker, from her latest release FROG TROUBLE is featured in a touching video created by St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The video, which features the beautiful patients and families of St. Jude, was sent to the 1.7 million donors today as part of their year-end email message. Click here to watch the moving video. Recently, FROG TROUBLE was featured as part of Country Weekly’s Holiday Hit List while Boynton and Rucker sat down to speak with CBS This Morning about the making of the album.

    Boynton, most known as the famed children’s author and illustrator selling over 60 million books, has also impressively sold over 2.5 million albums. She put together her country debut with 12 new original songs, arranged and mixed with her longtime collaborator, Michael Ford. Produced mostly in Nashville with renowned session musicians, Boynton personally secured a short list of top artists, including Ryan Adams, Dwight Yoakam, Ben Folds, Brad Paisley, Alison Krauss, Josh Turner, Darius Rucker, Fountains of Wayne, Mark Lanegan, Kacey Musgraves, Linda Eder, and Falls Mountain Cowboys.

    Boynton has written and produced five albums, three of which have been certified Gold. She received a GRAMMY nomination for Philadelphia Chickens, which has sold close to a million copies. FROG TROUBLE’s sound ranges from Country to Bluegrass to Rockabilly to Honkytonk to Blues. It’s truly an album for everyone—or, as the cover says, “For ages one to older than dirt!”
