What happens when you mix sequined outfits, pink drumsticks, good friends and maybe a little cheap tequila? You get a Walker County house party, of course. Come one, come all to the official music video for the sister duo’s summer-ready debut single, “Bits & Pieces” (watch HERE). The video, directed by Bobby Hanaford and filmed in Los Angeles, premiered this morning on People.com (read HERE).
“We had the best time filming this music video in LA!” the duo’s Ivy Dene told People.com. “It was a blast creating that super fun, house party vibe – and, of course, it’s always amazing when Sophie gets to rock out on drums. Our director Bobby Hanaford did an amazing job capturing the ‘good time’ feel that all of us are looking forward to this summer. That’s really what ‘Bits & Pieces’ is all about. Good times with good friends!”
“Bits & Pieces” will hit country airwaves this coming Monday, June 21. Taste of Country has declared the track “radio-ready pop country” while MusicRow praises its “scampering vocals” and “pinpoint, twin-like harmonies [that] stay perfectly in place no matter how rapid-fire the delivery becomes.” Walker County performed the single on their The Kelly Clarkson Show debut last month (watch HERE).
Walker County introduced themselves to fans throughout the past year, releasing “Bits & Pieces” as well as three other tracks – “Shovel” (listen HERE), “Drag It Out” (listen HERE) and “Someone’s Someone” (listen HERE). Ivy Dene (lead vocals) and Sophie Dawn (vocals, percussion) have already been named CMT Next Women of Country and Listen Up artists. They are hitting the road for the CMT Next Women of Country: Tanya Tucker’s Bring My Flowers Now Tour in August, and they will join Old Dominion on select dates through the end of the year.
