THE DIRT DRIFTERS’ DEBUT ALBUM THIS IS MY BLOOD OUT SEPTEMBER 13 ON WARNER BROS. RECORDS
NASHVILLE QUINTET ON TOUR NOW
This Is My Blood, the debut full-length album from emerging Nashville band The Dirt Drifters will be released September 13 on Warner Bros. Records. Already receiving critical acclaim, American Songwriter calls the music “…refreshing, loud, fun and thoughtful,” while, of the album’s debut single “Something Better,” the9513 heralds, “The Dirt Drifters offer the greatest of rarities: a butt-wiggling scorcher exactly as fun and cathartic as it tries to be.” Additionally, Music News Nashville calls the band’s latest single, “Always A Reason,” “an addictive tune that highlights the group’s gritty, raw sound and working man inspired lyrics,” while the Chicago Sun Times describes it as, “a good ole country drinking song on the surface, yet armed with surprisingly deeper lyrics.”
Produced by Justin Niebank (Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban), the album features 11 tracks, 10 of which were either written or co-written by the multi-talented five-piece band—Matt Fleener (lead vocals/guitar), Ryan Fleener (vocals/guitar), Jeff Middleton (vocals/ guitars), Jeremy Little (bass) and Nick Diamond (drums). The album also features a guest appearance by musical legend Willie Nelson on the standout track “I’ll Shut Up Now.” Of the finished product, Matt comments, “Everything on the record is our life. Not only are we playing all the music on the album and writing the songs, we’ve lived them and are ready to put our stories out there.”
In celebration of the release, the quintet is currently in the midst of a nationwide tour. Highlights include a special CD release show at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley on September 13. See reverse for complete tour details. Additionally, as a special bonus to fans attending the shows, the band will continue their “Give Blood” campaign, giving away 30,000 free copies of the album. As part of this special promotion, fans will actually receive two copies of the CD packaged together and separated by a perforated fold for easy tearing to encourage fans to spread the music. The Dirt Drifters are recruiting their fans to “get blood” and “give blood” by keeping one disc for themselves and passing along the second album to a friend.
