Warner Music Nashville’s Troy Cartwright announced today his forthcoming major label debut studio EP Halfway To Houston, available everywhere on October 15. Produced by Brandon Hood, the EP features five standout tracks including three brand new songs, all of which Cartwright had a hand in writing. Cartwright is giving a preview of the EP with “Breaking Every Heart In Texas,” available now (LISTEN HERE). Continuing his ode to his home state, Cartwright co-wrote the tune alongside Brett Tyler, Wynn Varble and Jeff Outlaw. To accompany the song release, the Texas native also released the official music video, directed by Jimmy Fisco and shot outside Waco, TX (WATCH HERE).

Halfway To Houston follows his live EP, Memory Machine Sessions (LISTEN HERE). The six-song collection was captured during a full-band set and includes the live version of “Shine On Me,” a track on the forthcoming EP. Written by Cartwright alongside Ben Caver and Nolan Sipe, the deeply personal song reflects on Cartwright’s artist journey since he first dreamed of being on stage at a young age (WATCH MUSIC VIDEO HERE).

The singer/songwriter has released several tunes since signing with Warner Music Nashville in 2018, including his major label debut song “Hung Up On You.” Billboard raved about the track, stating: “From a plucky instrumental signature riff through its sing-along chorus, a catchy ‘déjà vu’ pre-chorus reference, some call-and-answer ‘woo hoos’ and an awesome, left-field bridge, ‘Hung Up on You’ has so many hooks that it can leave the listener hung up for hours.” His growing collection also includes the vengeful “Hammer,” featured of the upcoming EP, “My First Beer,” which Sounds Like Nashvilledescribed as “pouring vivid, unforgettable memories into a groove-country standout,” “Round and Round,” a MusicRow Disc of the Day winner, and “Love Like We Used To,” all of which have contributed to his 30+ million global career streams.

Fans have plenty of opportunities to catch Cartwright on the road this fall, currently on the Nashville Hits the Roof tour, playing at Tin Roofs across the country. He will soon join Kolby Cooper for a string of dates before hopping on LANCO’s Honkytonk Hippies tour in December. For a full list of tour dates, click HERE.
