Warner Music Nashville is celebrating a little March Madness of its own with three songs by four of the company’s recording artists reaching No. 1 this month. WMN is the first label group to land three singles in the No. 1 spot this year.
Country superstar Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight,” which recently became his 14th consecutive No. 1 single, has now officially been certified Gold by the RIAA. The Academy of Country Music Awards-nominated duet with Warner Bros. Records label mate and friend Ashley Monroe became Shelton’s 19th No. 1 overall and 18th gold-certified single to date (which includes all 14 consecutive No. 1’s).

Shelton’s duet with Warner Bros. Records label mate and close friend Ashley Monroe hit No. 1 this week on both the Billboard and Mediabase country charts. It’s Shelton’s 14th consecutive chart-topper in both polls, a genre record in the monitored airplay era and Monroe’s first No. 1. Shelton now has 19 total No. 1 hits to date.
Country music superstar Blake Shelton will join an elite club of artists this weekend when he both hosts and performs on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
The reigning and five time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year will show off his all-around entertainer abilities at 11:30 p.m. ET Saturday night by giving a monologue, performing in skits and performing two songs of his 18 # 1 singles. In addition, he’ll drop by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” at 11:30 p.m. ET on Thursday to talk about the appearance and his life as one of music’s most recognizable and talked-about stars.
Reigning five-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton will make his SNL debut, serving as both host and musical guest on Jan. 24. As a coach on the Emmy winning series, “The Voice,” the five-time Grammy nominee and ACM co-host has led four artists to victory. Shelton’s latest album, “Bringing Back the Sunshine,” debuted at # 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
