Blake Shelton’s Not So Family Christmas Special Receives Writers Guild Award Nomination

NASHVILLE, TN – (December 10, 2013) – Big Smo, A.K.A. Hick Ross and Boss of the Stix, is set to release his debut album with Warner Bros. / Elektra Records, Kuntry Livin’, on March 4th and will be available to fans who come out to a Smo tour date as early as January 14h as part of a special tour only release. Award-winning artist, Hunter Hayes, won BMI’s coveted "Song of the Year” award for his multi-week No. 1 hit “Wanted” at last night’s BMI Awards. The song was co-written by Hunter and Troy Verges and produced by Hunter and Dann Huff. "Wanted" garnered more than one million performances in 2012 alone, making it one of the most-performed songs of the year. The multi-platinum record was also nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the “Best Country Solo Performance” category this year and is one of the top 10 selling country songs of 2013 selling over three million singles to date.

Big Smo Hits The Road On The Backwoods Whiskey Tour Beginning November 1st

NASHVILLE, TN – (November 1, 2013) – Big Smo, A.K.A. Hick Ross, is set to release his latest collection of music via his Backwoods Whiskey EP with Warner Bros. / Elektra Records, on November 19th. A remix of “Kickin’ It In Tennessee” is a featured highlight, produced by Battleroy (Bruno Mars, Eminem). The high energy track, co-written by Battle, Casey Beathard and Smo, serves as this season’s theme song for the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.
