Following the announcement of their forthcoming EP Pronounced BEAR, out Sept. 3, rising country band BEXAR has released the official music video for the brand-new track “Key To Life” (WATCH HERE). Directed by Quinton Cook, the video takes viewers through various portals of life and premiered this morning on CMT Music and CMT.com (READ HERE).

“Key To Life” is one of the six tracks on the band’s major label debut EP, Pronounced BEAR. Produced by award-winning producers Ross Copperman and Luke Laird, the EP draws its title inspiration from the phonetic spelling of the band’s name. BEXAR has given additional glimpses into their Kentucky-bluegrass-meets-Texas-country sound with previous track releases “One Day” and “Again.” Co-written alongside Ross Copperman, “Again” served as the band’s first major label song and has been called “serious earworm potential” by Billboard (LISTEN HERE). MusicRow raved about the track, stating “please put this on your playlist at once.” The inspirational and upbeat “One Day” was another co-write with BEXAR and Copperman, also joined by Josh Osborne, and encourages listeners to live in the moment and not put off goals and dreams (LISTEN HERE). The six songs showcase BEXAR’s fresh and expressive sound, and the EP is available for pre-order HERE.

This weekend, BEXAR will head to Montana for Headwaters Country Jam before a tour stop with Muscadine Bloodline next Saturday in Rootstown, OH. Then next month, the band will join superstar Keith Urban on “Keith Urban Live – Las Vegas” from September 17-25. The residency will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and tickets can be purchased HERE.

BEXAR draws inspiration from groups such as Mumford & Sons, The Avett Brothers and Avicii and reintroduces country to the pop potential of wooden instruments and organic soul. The band, comprised of Chris Ryan (lead vocals/guitar) and Logan Turner (vocals/banjo/guitar), gets its name from Bexar County, TX, where Ryan spent much of his childhood. Since their 2018 self-released EP, the band has accumulated nearly 40 million streams to date and has been named to Sounds Like Nashville’s 2021 Artists To Watch list.
