Official Music Video for “Gabrielle” Out Now

Brand New Album Sunday Drive Available Everywhere This Friday (7/10)

It’s “gonna be a good day” for Brett Eldredge next Monday, July 13 as he makes a virtual visit to Good Morning America in the 8:00 AM hour. “Good Day” is one of the five songs currently available to stream from Eldredge’s upcoming album Sunday Drive, due this Friday (PRE-ORDER HERE). The official music video for “Good Day” (WATCH HERE) features members of his official fan club, The Locals (JOIN HERE), and sheds some light on the good that still exists during hard times.

Last month Eldredge spoke to GMA about the optimistic tune that “touches on finding the passion in the everyday” (Chicago Sun-Times): “In our society everybody feels like we need to put on that perfect outer look. I got so tired of that. I didn’t want to do it anymore,” he said. “This song says, you know, have the self-awareness… of being like, ‘I’m gonna make this a good day no matter what is thrown at me’” (WATCH HERE).

“Good Day” was preceded in release by the album’s first single, “Gabrielle” – a song that Rolling Stone declared “a breath of fresh air.” This week, as the song continues to hit airwaves around the nation, Eldredge premiered the song’s official music video (WATCH HERE). Directed by Reid Long, the video was filmed in and around the high school he attended growing up in Paris, IL. The acclaimed vocalist performed a stripped-down version of “Gabrielle” on Late Night with Stephen Colbert earlier this year (WATCH HERE).

Creating Sunday Drive began with the realization that Eldredge needed to dial back to dial in. With just a flip phone, Polaroid camera, notebook and guitar by his side, he was able to reexamine both himself and the world around him. Together with likeminded producers Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, Eldredge found a way to blend his acclaimed voice and strong midwestern values with a deepened sense of self and naturally matured sound.

GRAMMY-winning producers Tashian and Fitchuk also teamed up with Eldredge to write five of Sunday Drive’s 12 tracks. The trio joined together to pen both “Good Day” and “Gabrielle” as well as the album closer, “Paris Illinois.” Eldredge co-wrote six additional songs alongside pillars of the Nashville songwriting community like Jessie Jo Dillon and Tyler Johnson, as well as frequent past-collaborators with whom he has penned multiple chart-topping, Platinum-certified singles (full track listing below).
