Official Music Video Featuring Members of The Locals Fan Club Out Now

Brett Eldredge is sharing another new track from his upcoming fifth studio album, Sunday Drive, available everywhere July 10 (PRE-ORDER HERE). “Good Day” (Eldredge, Daniel Tashian, Ian Fitchuk) walks listeners through the powerful process of positive thinking, with Eldredge confident “it’s gonna be a good day” even when its “42, cold and rainy.” People.com premiered the uplifting music video today (WATCH HERE) that features members of his official fan club, The Locals (JOIN HERE), and sheds some light on the good that still exists during hard times.

 

The mental health practice of manifesting outcomes through visualization has been an important part of Eldredge’s journey over the past few years, and last week he spoke with Good Morning America about how therapy has changed his life (WATCH HERE). “I’ve been somebody who’s kind of scared of vulnerability a little bit,” he shared. “But I’ve started to realize that opening up and telling someone your thoughts and what’s going on in your world and having them help you find ways to cope with it is a big deal.”

 

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert recently shared a stripped-down version of the album’s wistful lead single “Gabrielle” (WATCH HERE), which is rapidly climbing the country radio charts. Continuing to establish Eldredge as one of country music’s most powerful male vocalists, “Gabrielle” reflects on the ups and downs of a past relationship and “will definitely stand out on the country airwaves as it takes a page from the soulful, piano-based pop of the 1970s” (The Tennessean). Billboard praised the way it “strays from traditional country and roams across a soft-rock landscape,” applauding how Eldredge “smacks the change-up out of the park,” while Rolling Stone declared “[‘Gabrielle’] is a breath of fresh air.”

 

Creating Sunday Drive began with the realization that Eldredge needed to dial back to dial in. With just a flip phone, Polaroid camera, notebook and guitar by his side, he was able to reexamine both himself and the world around him. Together with likeminded producers Tashian and Fitchuk, Eldredge found a way to blend his acclaimed voice and strong midwestern values with a deepened sense of self and naturally matured sound.
