Charismatic New Artist Will Impact Country Radio Monday (3/26)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (March 23, 2018) – Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Cale Dodds prepares fans for the weekend by releasing an acoustic remix of his debut single, aptly retitled “Take You Back (To Basics).” Listen HERE. The rising country star strips his first major label offering down with an accompanying video that features Dodds and his guitar illuminated by car headlights. Whiskey Riff premiered the video this morning, noting “with his powerful stage presence, good looks and self-deprecating sense of humor, he’s already proving to have that ‘it’ factor necessary to take this thing to the moon.” Watch HERE.

“One aspect of my recent radio tour that I particularly enjoyed was the chance to share my songs like they were written: on acoustic guitar,” said Dodds. “Collaborating with my producers Zach and Corey, I realized we were giving the fans that same experience with this remix of “Take You Back.” It’s raw, stripped down, and allows you to focus on the lyrics. Considering a lot of my fans found me on streaming platforms, I feel it is important to give them new material as often as possible. Releasing this remix is the first of many ways I hope to bring country music fans into my world of writing and recording.”

Already amassing over 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone, Digital Journal has praised “Take You Back” for its “rich, smooth vocals” and “heartwarming, nostalgic and relevant lyrics.” The single, penned alongside Zach Abend and Corey Crowder, showcases his wordsmith abilities. “Take You Back” officially impacts country radio on Monday (3/26), following a three month tour of radio stations and media outlets around the country.

Reflected Dodds: “The last ten weeks meeting the radio community and sharing my story will go down as one of the most memorable chapters of my career. The stories, history, and musical knowledge I’ve been exposed to have been educational and inspiring. I’m grateful for all of the support radio has already offered and I look forward to finally shipping my first ever country single on Monday!”

The CMT #18for2018 artist has been chronicling his adventures on Instagram as well as his “Cale Cam” YouTube series. Watch the newest episode, released yesterday, HERE. The rising country artist will make his next stop in Las Vegas for ACM’s Party for a Cause this April.

Dubbed a “New Country Artist You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone, Dodds rose to prominence with viral hits like “Lying” and “All Over,” which he recently released as special “double singles” alongside new tunes “Out of My System” and “Like We Do.”  Fans and critics alike are taking note with platforms like Amazon Music Unlimited and Google Play including him on their “Best Country Songs of 2017” and “2018 Country Artists to Watch” playlists, respectively.

Fans can check out behind-the-scenes looks at radio tour and more by following the “Cale Cam” video series and on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
