Following GRAMMY, ACM, Billboard, CMT and more award wins over the past several months, superstar entertainers Dan + Shay earned their latest honor last night with a second consecutive CMA Award for Duo of the Year. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney also took to the stage from the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with Justin Bieber for the world television premiere of their multi-week, No. 1 global hit “10,000 Hours” (watch HERE).

“This is absolutely incredible,” Mooney said. “So thankful to be here with so many incredible people. I just thank God that we can do music. And in a time like this, I feel like it is very important that we tell the people we love that we love them."

Added Smyers after thanking their team, fans and families, “Thank you for this. It means the world.”

Named Top Country Song at the Billboard Music Awards and recognized for Best Lyrics at the iHeart Radio Music Awards, “10,000 Hours” recently surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify alone and returned to the top of the iTunes US Sales Chart following the performance. The track had the biggest first-week streaming total in country music history and was the fastest country song to reach one million U.S. track equivalents in 2019, earning more than 3.6 million U.S. track equivalents to date and more than 1.3 billion global streams. It was the first song by a country duo or group ever to debut in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 5, and spent 21 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs (fourth longest run in chart history). The worldwide smash has achieved 2x Platinum certification in Australia and Canada, Platinum certification in the Netherlands, and Gold certification in four other countries.

Fresh off the heels of their CMA win, Dan + Shay turn the celebration festive with the release of their “Take Me Home For Christmas” music video, premiering at 4:00pm CT today (WATCH HERE). Directed by Patrick Tracy, the snow-filled video features both the Smyers and Mooney families getting into the holiday spirit, leaving an ambiguous cliffhanger at the end. “Take Me Home For Christmas” is the first-ever original holiday track released by the duo and shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Holiday Chart upon release.

Dan + Shay’s current single, “I Should Probably Go To Bed,” is Top 5 and climbing at country radio and has already accumulated more than 100 million global streams. Produced by Smyers and co-written alongside Mooney, the track reached No.1 on the Country Digital Songs Sales chart upon release and garnered the duo’s highest first-week equivalents for a duo-only release. The cinematic music video, also directed by Patrick Tracy, recently claimed the title of Duo Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards. The song continues to earn critical praise from outlets including Variety, Billboard, MusicRow, EUPHORIA. and more.

With more than six billion career streams, Dan + Shay have garnered more than two dozen GRAMMY, ACM, American Music, Billboard Music, CMA and CMT Award wins and nominations. The duo took home a second consecutive GRAMMY for Best Country Duo/Group Performance earlier this year (2020 – “Speechless,” 2019 – “Tequila”). Their Platinum-certified self-titled album included global hit “Tequila" (5x Platinum), multi-format hit “Speechless” (4x Platinum), and No.1 country song “All To Myself" (2x Platinum). In the seven years since they formed, Dan + Shay have accumulated 32 total RIAA certifications and achieved seven No. 1 singles at country radio.
