Makes Debut on Rolling Stone’s All-Genre Breakthrough 25 Chart

Warner Music Nashville/Atlantic recording artist Ingrid Andress “managed something truly incredible” (Forbes) recently when her Gold-certified debut single “More Hearts Than Mine” ascended to No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart. On June 1, the prolific singer/songwriter will impact country radio with “The Stranger” (LISTEN HERE), a song The New York Times hails as “an elegant evocation of corrosive loneliness.” Both tracks are featured on her critically-lauded debut album Lady Like (LISTEN HERE); the highest streaming country female debut album of all time and a driving force behind her recent Top 15 debut on Rolling Stone’s all-genre Breakthrough 25 chart. The elite list ranks artists with the greatest gains each month in audio streams and “does not include passive listening, such as terrestrial radio or digital radio.”

Praising its “beautiful vocals backed by an elegant piano melody,” Teen Vogue premiered the official music video directed by Emma Higgins (WATCH HERE). With over 1 million views already, the moving footage captures what happens when individuals in varying relationship levels are seated face to face and challenged to consider one another simply and openly without saying a word.

I think people in my generation grew up thinking that love was a thing that you’d definitely find one day, and that once you found it, it would last forever and ever,” Andress told Billboard. “And it would be easy once you’re married because you’re just ‘with that person now.’ As an observer and human being, I have found this to be very far from the truth. Love isn’t just this ‘thing’ that stays around after you’ve found it: It will leave if you take it for granted and don’t pay attention to it consistently. When I wrote this song, I wanted people to know that it’s OK if you’re not super in love with your partner all the time. It’s completely normal to feel like you’ve grown apart because we all change on a daily basis. Most love songs don’t talk about that, so I wanted everyone who feels this way to have a song.”

The ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee has performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, TODAY and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in addition to receiving overwhelming critical support from some of the most-read publications across the country including Variety, Entertainment Weekly, ELLE, People, UPROXX, PAPER, Idolator, LADYGUNN, Flaunt, HITS and several more. As the first female country artist named to Apple Music’s Up Next program, she will go down in history as the only solo-female-debut to crack Top 20 on the Country Airplay chart in 2019.

An accomplished singer/songwriter, Andress has penned songs for artists including Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX, FLETCHER and Dove Cameron and continues to hone her skills writing with heavy hitters in the music community likeSam Hunt, Alicia Keys and Tori Kelly. Having started the year touring with Keith Urban on select dates, Andress also helped kick off Dan + Shay’s The (Arena) Tour and will join Tim McGraw for his 2020 Here On Earth Tour through the fall.
