Morgan Evans is bringing his vulnerability to life visually in the stunning official music video for “Over For You” (WATCH HERE). Directed by Peter John, the cinematic video was captured while Evans was on the road in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Rainbow Beach, Australia, in addition to Auckland, New Zealand.

“Over For You” sent fans into a craze after Evans debuted the song at his headlining CMC Rocks QLD Festival performance to 25,000 people, his biggest headlining show of his career. Uploads from the show had received hundreds of thousands of views on social media within the first few days following, prompting “Over For You – Live in Melbourne” to be recorded and released to DSPs (LISTEN HERE). The studio version quickly followed and impacted radio immediately (LISTEN HERE).

Evans hit the CMA Awards red carpet last week to discuss the track. “It’s been a rough few months, but writing this song helped me sort through a lot of that,” said Evans to Billboard. “I didn’t have any expectations for it, I just felt like I needed to get it off my chest. The reaction to that was kind of overwhelming.” Speaking to Access Hollywood, Evans said, “One of the parts is how lonely it can feel. It’s strangely comforting to realize that so many other people have been through this same thing, which I didn’t until I shared the song.”

Praise has rolled in for the song by outlets such as Us Weekly, E!, Entertainment Tonight, The Bobby Bones Show and more, with Billboard proclaiming, “many of the best songs come from heartbreak, and this is absolutely one of Evans’ best releases to date.” People observed that Evans appeared to be “channeling his heartbreak into song,” with Taste of Country noting “fans [were] voicing their empathy from the crowd.” CMT said Evans “places his heart on the line” in the raw ballad, stating it is “destined to tug at heartstrings worldwide.”
