Five-Part Series Begins With Episode One Tonight (4/22) on YouTube; Watch Trailer HERE

Eight years ago, Warner Music Nashville recording artist Morgan Evans came to the crystal-clear conclusion that he wanted to “play music forever.” Leaving behind friends, family and his home in Australia, Evans embarked on a journey of self-discovery as he learned to navigate the competitive world that is the entertainment industry. In a new docuseries called The Highway 1 Sessions, Evans takes fans through that journey along the Pacific coast highway in California. A Warner Music Nashville / Indigo Frame collaboration, the five-part limited series premieres tonight, April 22 at 8:00pm CT with a new episode every Wednesday on Evans’ YouTube channel (WATCH HERE).

“I feel like in times when you know you’re not in the right spot is when you really find out who you are,” Evans explains as the Patrick Tracy-directed film opens. “You know that it feels so wrong, so there must be something out there that’s at least more right than that.”

Evans has proven time and again that taking the risk was well worth it. Named one of Country Radio Seminar’s elite New Faces of Country Music, he has accumulated over 450 million career streams globally with his diverse catalog, including his most recent release “Diamonds.” Written about his wife, the track was the first song from Evans to feature a live band, handpicked by Evans himself. He topped the charts with his debut single “Kiss Somebody” and spent 25 weeks in the coveted No.1 spot in Australia with “Day Drunk.” Both hail from his critically-lauded debut album Things That We Drink To, which took home the award for Best Country Album at the ARIA Music Awards in Australia.

“The Nashville sensation” (People) has come to be known for his thrilling, one-of-a-kind live shows. Last year, he spanned eight countries with headlining shows sold out across three continents on his 2019 World Tour. Rolling Stone praised him as “a savvy performer with strong songwriting chops,” with MusicRow crediting his “stellar guitar work” and “songwriting that blends elements of rootsy country with arena rock and catchy pop hooks.”
