Griffin Welcomes Second Son, Honors Late Producer Busbee

Up-and-coming singer / songwriter Ryan Griffin is dropping it “Down” with the newest release from his Name On It EP, due August 28. The Altadena / Warner Records / Warner Music Nashville recording artist penned the summer-ready tune alongside Cameron Badell and Mark Trussell (listen HERE). “Down” is the latest in a string of releases that include “Right Here Right Now,” “Going Going Gone,” “One Prayer Left” and the title track. Together these songs sing of love, faith, gratitude and good times.

“Every record needs a summer jam, and ‘Down’ is that song that takes me back home to Florida, on the water soaking in the sun with no worries,” Griffin said. “We can always use some good vibes coming through the speakers — now more than ever!”

There’s a little more music in the world for the Griffin and his wife Talia this week as they welcome a new addition to their family. Jude Michael arrived on July 27 and joins big brother Levi Hart. His middle name holds a special meaning that many in the Nashville community will recognize. As Griffin told People: “Michael was specifically chosen to honor our dear friend busbee” (read more HERE).

A genre-defying talent, Griffin’s music fuses pop, soul and R&B with the honest universality of country to forge a romantic mix landing somewhere between Keith Urban and Brian McKnight. Receiving critical praise from outlets including People, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Entertainment Tonight and more, the heart-forward up-and-comer continues to seize his moment as a star on the cusp with his stunning vocals and hardwired emotional connection on full blast.

Since moving to Music City at the age of 17 after growing up on his family’s farm in Florida, Griffin has found success in songwriting – notably lending his pen to Kelsea Ballerini’s Platinum-selling hit “Dibs.” He has also grabbed his own artistic attention with fans across multiple music sharing platforms. Featured as a SiriusXM Highway Find, he has racked up more than 20 million streams in the U.S. alone with independently released track including the infectious “Woulda Left Me Too,” “Best Cold Beer” and “Play It By Heart.”
