With his Songs About You album ready to roll out tomorrow, singer-songwriter Brett Eldredge is excited for listeners to hear his new music brimming with confidence and swagger. That confidence comes from holistic disciplines that touch every aspect of his life.

“In the process of making this album and through the work I’ve been doing on myself, it’s given me the confidence to dig down deep and say ‘this is me,’” said Eldredge. “I’ve never sounded more like myself than I do on this record!”

The result is already garnering reviews with People Magazine saying, “Songs About You is a necklace of twelve gems, each with its own sparkle, from the unbridled joy of the first track, ‘Can’t Keep Up,’ to the achingly sweet sadness of final track, ‘Where the Light Meets the Sea.’ Every single song was co-written by Eldredge — and both lyrics and melodies shine with masterful, evocative themes. Every single song also was crafted to fully exploit the potency of Eldredge’s singular voice.”

MusicRow Magazine asserted, “Sonically, the album strips away anything that would distract from the project’s vocals and lyrics, which find Eldredge digging deeper into not only themes of love and heartbreak, but mental health. Songs such as “Get Out of My House” and “I Feel Fine” directly address his struggle with anxiety.

Eldredge “continues with his brand of smooth, easygoing grooves that highlight his endless vocal charisma” (Billboard) on the album’s title track and lead single, “Songs About You” (LISTEN HERE). Written by Eldredge, Jessie Jo Dillon and Ben West, the “jazzy mid-tempo heartbreak anthem” (CMT) is climbing the country radio charts now. The lyrics namecheck lines from classics like Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark,” Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl” as Eldredge works through the memories of an old flame, sparked by music he hears throughout the day.

To celebrate the release of his album, Eldredge will perform “Holy Water” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, June 22. Of the song, Rolling Stone has described it as “a grand piano number that shows off the Chicago-area native’s range.”

“To me, ‘Holy Water’ represents the cleansing of the spirit,” Eldredge shared. “You can find it in ways by recognizing the love for yourself, for being there for yourself, and protecting that inner child. This is a huge power that we all have and it exists deep down in our hearts. You can also find it through someone who is there for you through every up and down through the walk of life. They are your holy water. Whatever your beliefs are, you can go to a spiritual place - and hopefully this song can take you there. Recording this was incredibly vulnerable for me, and the production from Dave Cobb is fantastic.”

Eldredge recently announced his headlining Songs About You Tour, which kicks off this weekend in his home state of Illinois and will make several stops across North America. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.bretteldredge.com/tour (full list of dates below).

“I Feel Fine” follows his “stately love ballad” (MusicRow), “Wait Up For Me,” hailed by CMT as “destined to be included on romantic playlists nationwide.” Eldredge also “continues with his brand of smooth, easygoing grooves that highlight his endless vocal charisma” (Billboard) on the album’s title track and current single, “Songs About You” (LISTEN HERE). Written by Eldredge, Jessie Jo Dillon and Ben West, the lyrics namecheck lines from classics like Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark,” Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl” as Eldredge works through the memories of an old flame, sparked by music he hears throughout the day.

Songs About You features 12 songs co-written by Eldredge. The new music follows his seven country-radio No. 1’s, nine Gold and Platinum-certified singles, two Gold-certified albums, multiple CMA, ACM and CMT Music nominations and wins and most recently, his critically acclaimed fourth studio record, Sunday Drive.
