History-Making Debut Single Officially Certified 2x Platinum By The RIAA

Warner Music Nashville’s Gabby Barrett has been “turning ears for months” (PEOPLE) as a Billboard shortlisted GRAMMY contender, and continued the buzz today, bringing her “attention-grabbing voice” (MusicRow) to Live with Kelly and Ryan (7/9).

Barrett scorched with the “breakout single of 2020” (Rolling Stone) “I Hope,” “a revenge song with such specificity…you can tell the wronged character has invested serious time in her fantasy, even if she’s not willing to break out the Louisville Slugger to start busting headlights” (Variety).

Skyping in from East Texas, Barrett chatted with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest about her time on Idol, life as a newlywed with husband and accompanist for the day Cade Foehner, and her ACM New Female Artist of the Year nomination, followed by the hosts delivering the surprise news that “I Hope” is officially certified 2X PLATINUM by the RIAA.
