From the very early days of his career, Platinum-selling recording artist and award-winning singer / songwriter Chris Janson has advocated for his community and his country. He has proudly supported the United States military at dozens of events over the past decade, and this Veterans Day is no different. Tomorrow evening Janson will perform alongside the United States Air Force Band in a free online concert (in partnership with MGM National Harbor) paying tribute to American veterans. Fans can tune into A Salute to Service: Honoring America’s Heroes on Facebook (HERE) or YouTube (HERE) at 7:00pm/6:00c on Wednesday, November 11.
“It was a huge honor to get to play with the Air Force Band – what a unique and special way to celebrate our military for Veterans Day,” Janson said. “I’m so grateful to our servicemen and women for all that they do to protect our country, and I will forever continue to pay tribute to their courage.”
True to form, the acclaimed entertainer is pulling double duty this Veterans Day. In addition to A Salute to Service, Janson is among the esteemed musicians participating in the Musicians On Call Concert for Veterans presented by Wrangler. The concert will be shared at the bedsides of veterans in 144 VA facilities as part of the MOC Virtual Bedside Performance Program. Janson and his fellow artists offer songs of encouragement and messages of thanks to all veterans.
This year especially, Janson has leaned into spreading “Good Vibes” through action. From his steadfast support for organizations such as the Grand Ole Opry to his conservation efforts with Bass Pro Shops, Tennessee Riverkeeper and more, he has demonstrated his value as a community and industry leader. Meanwhile, he continues to share positivity through his music.
Janson is currently hitting the airwaves with “feel-good singalong” (The Boot) “Waitin’ On 5” (listen HERE). The third single from his album Real Friends, this blue-collar anthem salutes a well-earned end-of-day wind down. The official music video, directed by Sam Siske, features his father, who fills his real-life role as an auto body painter, as well as his father-in-law (watch HERE).
“Waitin’ On 5” impacted country radio in September following the success of Janson’s multi-week chart-topper “Done” (listen HERE). The “true country excellence” (MusicRow) became his fourth No. 1 single, joining Gold-certified “Good Vibes” and “Fix A Drink” and 3x Platinum smash “Buy Me A Boat.” Fans can look forward to new music from Janson in 2021.
