Janson Celebrates Power of Songwriting with Veterans, Military Families

of Nashville’s Operation Song

Entertainer Helps Honor Memorial Day,

Hosts This Weekend’s Westwood One Annual Summer Kick Off Special

The whole studio audience joined Chris Janson in telling the world to keep it “Good Vibes” only during his Wednesday morning (5/22) performance on Live with Kelly and Ryan. Check it out HERE. The positive-minded entertainer is spreading his mentality throughout the nation with his latest single, which is currently climbing the charts at country radio as it tops 10 million streams.

With “Good Vibes” in mind, Janson joined members of Operation Song earlier this week for a special event at Warner Music Nashville. Operation Song is a non-profit based in Nashville that aims to empower veterans, active duty military and their families to tell their stories through the process of songwriting. The organization’s founder and three veterans allowed Janson a moment in the audience as they took the stage to perform a rendition of their Memorial Day-inspired anthem, “The Last Monday in May.” He followed their performance with an acoustic set of his own as well as an in-depth songwriting-based question and answer session.

The award-winning singer / songwriter heads into Memorial Day weekend continuing to honor servicemen and women as host of Westwood One’s Summer Kick Off with Chris Janson. The four-hour broadcast will air on stations nationwide beginning Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27 between 6:00am and 12:00 midnight.

Janson will continue to take his latest “electric, juiced-up anthem” (Billboard) as well as his collection of No. 1 hits and fan favorites across the country this summer on Chris Young’s 2019 “Raised on Country Tour.” The Platinum-selling multi-instrumentalist will also hit Nissan Stadium in Nashville on June 9 for CMA Fest. Following his first-ever ACM Award win for “Video of the Year,” Janson’s “Drunk Girl” is up for the same title at the CMT Awards. The show will air live on Wednesday, June 5 at 8:00pm ET / 7:00pm CT. Each winner is selected by the fans, with voting open now atvote.cmt.com. Watch the critically lauded “Drunk Girl” music video HERE.
