PEOPLE HOSTS VIDEO PREMIERE ONLINE FOR THE TOP 35 SINGLE

 

The video for CoJo Music / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Cody Johnson’s Top 35 single “On My Way To You” premiered today on CMT and People Country. Beginning at 6:00 a.m. EST, the video  is airing every hour on CMT and every other hour on CMT Music for 24 hours and can also be viewed online now atPeople here.

 

Directed by Sean Hagwell, the heartwarming  piece was shot just outside of Nashville. Hagwell perfectly depicts the nostalgic lyrics of the song throughout the storyline, which was co-written by hit songwriters Brett James and Tony Lane.

 

Billboard.com recently sat down with Johnson to talk about the new single and his partnership with Warner Music Nashville.. “It seems autobiographical of myself, from my journey to my wife, to the career path that I've taken. It talks about the bumps, and the bruises, and the hard times along the way, and the negatives that wind up being the positives,” Johnson shared with Billboard. “I said, ‘Did Tony Lane and Brett James know that we were cutting a record? Did they write this specifically for me?’ Because it couldn't have been any more perfect.”

 

“On My Way To You” is featured on Johnson’s newly announced album, AIN’T NOTHIN’ TO IT, set for release January 18, 2019. The album will be available for preorder on October 26, offering fans five gratis tracks including “On My Way To You.”
