GRAMMY-Nominated Duo to Perform Platinum-Certified Single on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

It’s not just that GRAMMY-nominated recording artists Dan + Shay are celebrating their fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on both the Billboard and Mediabase / Country Aircheck charts simultaneously, it’s that they are the only country duo to celebrate that achievement in the past five years. The feat is exceedingly rare for any artist – duo, group or solo – today “Speechless” becomes the first single in three years to have a four-week run atop both of the charts.
The global smash, while enjoying its exceptional success at radio, continues to resonate beyond airplay. The numbers speak for themselves: “Speechless” is No. 1 most-streamed country song across the entire genre for the seventh consecutive weekwith more than 175 million total streams. It is once again No. 1 in consumption and sales among this week’s Mediabase Top 50, now boasting more than 1.3 million track equivalents and earning its official RIAA Platinum certification. The single also tops Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for the sixth week.

The Platinum-selling pair reached new heights with both “Speechless” and the genre-defying mega-hit “Tequila” from their self-titled album. Together the tracks make up two of the top five most-streamed country songs released in 2018, with the latter leading the charge at No.1. “Tequila” also maintains its position at No. 2 on this week’s Hot Country chart. The “heartfelt” tune (People) became Dan + Shay’s first multi-week No. 1 single and is currently nominated for two GRAMMY Awards for “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” and “Best Country Song.” In addition to its GRAMMY recognition, the song garnered four combined CMA Awards nominations and two American Music Awards nods. Dan + Shay recently performed “Tequila” on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve (watch HERE) as well as fan-favorite “All To Myself” (watch HERE). The “massive, sweeping country-radio smash” (Rolling Stone) has earned more than 355 million streams and 2.7 million track equivalents, and it was named to “Best of…” lists from Billboard, Amazon, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify, YouTube and more.
The skyrocketing duo will head overseas this month, spreading their music across the globe with a headlining UK tour kicking off January 17. They return to North America for their sold-out headlining run, “Dan + Shay The Tour,” beginning in February.
