Heads Out with Michael Ray on Tour Tonight While Current Single “All On Me” is Top 30 and Climbing
NASHVILLE, TN – (October 5, 2017) – Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville artist Devin Dawson is building onto his current list of outstanding accolades with People naming him as the only male country artist on their Ones To Watch list, on stands now. This inclusion, with the magazine dubbing him “The Nashville Idol,” accentuates the bevy of other outlets lauding Dawson as the next big thing including ELLE, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, CMT, HITS Magazine, The Tennessean and more.
Having already toured with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Maren Morris and Dan + Shay this year, the California native is set to bring his “stare inducing stage presence” (ELLE) to label-mate Michael Ray’s “Get To You” tour, kicking off tonight in Tuscaloosa, AL. The iHeartRadio “On The Verge” artist is Top 30 at country radio and climbing with his single “All On Me,” which he performed earlier this year on Late Night with Seth Meyers, tallying nearly 30 million on-demand streams to date.
Praised by The Tennessean as “one of country music’s most tender and articulate wordsmiths,” Dawson was also recently honored by his alma mater Belmont University during the 10-year anniversary celebration of their pioneering songwriting major. Warner Music Nashville presented an endowed $25,000 scholarship in Dawson’s name and the university matched the contribution, creating a $50,000 endowed scholarship.

About Devin Dawson
An atypical country artist, Devin Dawson’s approach to music is not different on purpose, it’s different with purpose. He grew up just outside the gates of Folsom Prison, drawing inspiration from Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Pulling from these influences, he began to write in a style that is definitively country. Dawson’s lyrics full of romance and vulnerability, delivered with a distinctive saw-toothed vocal, draw you in from the first verse and keep you hooked until the very last chord. Since the release of Devin Dawson’s debut single “All On Me” earlier this year, the California-native has already made his TV debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers, landed multiple Grand Ole Opry performances, and received critical praise from a multitude of outlets including. His unique mix of organic roots and high-voltage country is showcased masterfully on his forthcoming debut Dark Horse, produced by the daring Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne). With a co-write credit on every track, the result will further establish Dawson’s building reputation as a dark horse set to emerge as one of the most exciting modern storytellers the format has ever seen.
