Performing at the ACM’s 7th Annual Party for a Cause Festival This Weekend

New music from Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Ingrid Andress has been highly anticipated ever since she released her major-label debut “Lady Like,” which is rapidly approaching 2.5 million on-demand streams. Today, the wait is over: her brand new track “More Hearts Than Mine” is available everywhere now (LISTEN HERE). Receiving multiple standing ovations when performed live at recent shows in the U.K. Andress was inspired by real-life experiences growing up in a large family when she co-wrote the emotional ballad with Sam Ellis and Derrick Southerland.

“It’s hard to put into words how much I love my family. I have never been good at expressing my emotions, but all of my true feelings come out when I write songs,” says Andress. As someone who usually has thick skin, I hate to admit that it took me a second to stop crying when I was recording this one. My family is a sacred part of my life that I will always protect; they shaped who I am, and this song is for them. ‘More Hearts Than Mine’ is my story, but I hope you hear your own story in it too.”

Having just announced that her national television debut is set for April 15th on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the accomplished singer/songwriter will head to Las Vegas this weekend for her first Academy of Country Music Awards weekend. Recently named one of CBS’ “Women of Country,” she’ll join hosts Darius Rucker and Scotty McCreery on Saturday (4/6) for the ACM Lifting Lives TopGolf Tee-Off as part of their 7th Annual Party for a Cause festival.

Earlier this year, PAPER applauded how Andress’ use of “lyrical specificity, moments of self-critical vulnerability and raw vocal gravity makes [country music’s] well-worn motifs sound fresh,” going on to praise her empowering anthem “Lady Like” for having “a sound built on clean pop melodies, but laced with country's swagger and cinematic storytelling in the style of crossover stalwarts like Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift and Kylie Minogue” (READ HERE).

The Colorado-native will release more new music throughout the year, continuing to prove why CMT calls her “arguably one of the most creative tunesmiths to call Nashville home in recent memory.” With performances in Germany, London, and Glasgow for the C2C: Country To Country music festival last month, Andress will soon announce upcoming U.S tour dates, including shows during this year’s CMA Fest in Nashville.

ABOUT INGRID ANDRESS

Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Ingrid Andress has been chipping away at expectations of herself, and her sound, since she was a young child. Growing up outside of the traditional definitions that apply to most kids, her debut song “Lady Like” addresses how these early life experiences influence her now. The “slow burning anthem of independence” (Rolling Stone) questions what females are "supposed" to do, or how they’re supposed to interact with the world around them. Having written with heavy hitters in the music community such as Sam Hunt and Alicia Keys, the acclaimed songwriter has co-writer credits on hits like “Steady 1234” and Charli XCX’s “Boys.” With a voice praised by The New York Times for being "steady, calm, [and] alive," Andress will continue to release new music in 2019 that will prove her to be one of the most unique and moving vocalists in the country space and beyond; one that is thrillingly honest, raw and refreshing in a way rarely seen emanating from Music City.
