Performing At Faster Horses Festival Tonight (7/20); Grand Ole Opry Next Week (7/27)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 20, 2018) – Warner Music Nashville / Warner Bros. Records’ country star RaeLynn released her brand new track “Tailgate” everywhere today (LISTEN HERE) and it’s sure to be the next song added to your summertime, pool-side playlist. The accomplished singer/songwriter co-wrote the tune with Canaan Smith, Corey Crowder and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard.

“Lately when it comes to songwriting, I’ve made it a point to just have fun and create music that feels good,” RaeLynn explains. “The day we wrote ‘Tailgate’ I told Canaan, Corey and Tyler that if the song doesn’t make me want to dance then I don’t want to cut it. Without fail, ‘Tailgate’ makes me want to dance on stage every single time I perform it and when you hear it you can’t help but sing along. It also comes from a real place because I’ve been driving the same truck since I was 18 years old. The first car that I ever owned was a Ford F-150 and I got to thinking about all the trouble I’d have been in with mama and dad if that truck ever told a secret on me. I think everyone remembers that first car or truck and all the secrets it kept for them growing up. I’m so excited to share it with everyone because it’s definitely the perfect song to open the flood gates of what we are creating!”

With her recent CMA Fest performance in Nashville hailed as one of Billboard’s “Best Moments,” of the week, fans won’t want to miss seeing “Tailgate” and other new music live when she hits the stage tonight for Michigan’s Faster Horses Festival (airing live on Sirius XM’s “The Highway” at 4:40pmET). The Baytown, Texas native is also set to play the historic Grand Ole Opry stage next Friday, July 27.

Her most recent release, “Queens Don’t,” was the first new music from RaeLynn since her debut recordWildHorse arrived at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart and Top 10 on Billboard’s All-Genre Albums Sales Chart in 2017. Directed by Sean Hagwell, the accompanying “Queens Don’t” video has impressively tallied over 3.7 million views on YouTube. The song also ushered in a new era for the singer-songwriter, who signed a new publishing deal with Tree Vibez Music (founded by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Bryan Kelley) and released a special track, “Festival,” to coincide with the launch of Too Faced’s “Life’s A Festival” campaign. RaeLynn is the first country artist to be the face of a Too Faced line, which is available in stores worldwide.

RaeLynn co-wrote 11 of the 12 tracks on Wildhorse, which was recognized as one of the 40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2017 by Rolling Stone and a Best Country Album by UPROXX and Stereogum in addition to being a “People’s Picks” by People. The album’s lead single, the Gold-certified “Love Triangle,” tells her personal story in a way that “is a raw and emotional account of what it’s like to be the child of divorced parents” (People), which media and fans immediately gravitated toward. The breakout star has earned numerous award nominations from the Academy of Country Music, Radio Disney Music Awards and CMT Music Awards. She has performed on several national TV shows including TODAY, Late Night with Seth Meyers and ELLEN.
