Hit-making recording artist, songwriter and producer Shy Carter has made it his mission to spread “Good Love” – but this week, the “Good Love” is coming back around for him. This morning he made his debut on NBC News’ 3rd Hour of TODAY (watch HERE), sharing the “broad, breezy optimism” (NPR) of his first country radio single. The appearance coincides with the release of the song’s brand new official music video (watch HERE). Directed by brother and sister duo Alexa and Stephen Kinigopoulos, also known as Running Bear, the “Good Love” video made its digital premiere on CMT.com (read HERE).

Carter’s celebratory week started yesterday with the launch of a special CMA Songwriters Series session on BBC Radio 2 (listen HERE). He joined host Bob Harris (The Country Show with Bob Harris) as well as fellow acclaimed songwriters Ashley McBryde, Brett Young and Cam for an evening filled with shop talk, songs and spur-of-the-moment harmonies. Carter performed a few of his greatest songwriting achievements: the 6x Platinum “Heaven” (Kane Brown), 4x Platinum “One Call Away” (Charlie Puth) and his own “Good Love.”

The “breezy, inspirational anthem with skittering high-hats and crisp piano” (Rolling Stone) has proved the perfect antidote to the winter blues, as it is currently featured in Hallmark Channel’s Spring Fling event trailer (watch HERE). Check it out on the Hallmark Channel now through April.

Carter recently down with Ashley Eicher for an episode Guest List Radio on Apple Music, where they talked about why he started playing the saxophone, what it was like to meet Clive Davis and more on his growing music career (listen HERE). He also joined BMI Nashville Executive Director Shannon Sanders last month for Middle Tennessee State University’s Bridges to Nashville, a program designed to educate college students of color nationwide about the country music industry.

In addition to being selected the face of Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch campaign, the chart-topping, Platinum-selling and GRAMMY-nominated singer / songwriter has been highlighted by MusicRow magazine, Pandora and Sounds Like Nashville, among others. Keep an eye out for new music and more in the months ahead.

ABOUT SHY CARTER

Songwriter, artist and producer Shy Carter has reached all corners of the industry with his early success. With credits that span Kane Brown’s “Heaven” to Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away,” Carter is one of the most formidable up-and-coming talents in Nashville and beyond. He is among the writers behind Billy Currington's “It Don't Hurt Like it Used To,” Sugarland’s smash hit “Stuck Like Glue” and Rob Thomas’ single “Someday.” In addition to his feature on Tim McGraw’s “Way Down,” Carter has collaborated with Keith Urban on both “Never Comin’ Down” and “My Wave.” Named to Variety’s 2018 Hitmakers list, he has also worked with Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainor, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Lopez, Nelly and more. His roots in gospel, jazz, R&B and soul developed into an early career in hip-hop, but his gift for storytelling and love of organic instrumentation led to a natural transition into country music. Now, with a transcendent style perfectly suited to the times, he’s ready to stand on his own as a country artist. With its earthy groove, laid-back beat and unflagging spirit, Carter’s debut radio single “Good Love” is a fitting introduction to the man behind the music. Described as “a breezy, inspirational anthem with skittering high-hats and crisp piano… [that] underscores Carter’s grand ambitions” (Rolling Stone), “Good Love” and his second Warner Music Nashville release “All Night” are available now. The born entertainer closed out the year visiting radio stations and media partners across the nation on his first-of-its-kind, socially distanced radio tour and has been named a 2021 Artist to Watch by Amazon Music, MusicRow magazine, Pandora, Sounds Like Nashvilleand more.
